14kg Dryers

All Dryers at My Beautiful Laundrette are the same size and very similar in operation. There are two specific types of control one is based on a LEVER and the other on a 3-Position Switch.  With each you can set the desired temperature from Low to High.

Open dryer, ensure that is it empty and load wet washing. Please ensure not to fill above half way, it is much better and more efficient to use a second dryer than to overload one as you will end up spending more overall with one.

CAUTION – Commercial dryers are much hotter than domestic machines so take care when choosing how hot and how long to dry for. As a general rule:

1. Towels = Hot/High
2. Clothing = Warm/Medium
3. Linen (sheets etc) = Warm/Low
4. Delicates = Warm/Low
5. Woollens, Leather, Polyester and Nylons are advised to hang dry and not be put into dryers
6. * Dryers work only with $1 coins and can be stacked for multiples of the drying time

16kg & 22kg Front Loader Washer (Primus)

1. Open the door pressing the ORANGE button on the control panel
2. Ensure the machine is empty inside (good to spin a couple of times)
3. Load washing into tub and fill up to fist height from the top without squeezing in. Washing needs room to move!
4. Close door ensuring no items are stuck in the rubber seal and lock handle to the left/down position
5. Select Washing Temperate: HOTER, WARMER, COLDER
6. Select NORMAL Cycle or PREWASH (Switch LEFT of Temperate) – Prewash is only recommended for very soiled/dirty items
7. Select NORMAL or GENTLE Cycle (Switch RIGHT of Temperate) – Gentle for Woollens and/or Delicates
8. Add Detergent into large opening of the fill tub above the machine (Careful as there is a WASH and PREWASH TUB!)
9. Add Fabric softener into the small opening of the same fill tub (optional)
10. The machine is now ready to insert coins ($1 & $2 coins only). Once inserted the cycle will automatically begin.
11. IF THE MACHINE FAILS TO START – 1. Check a temperature button is selected   2. Check the door is closed properly (push hard)
12. Normal wash is approximately 28min added Prewash takes about 35min
13. Only when completely finished will the ORANGE Open door button activate allowing you to open the door
14. PLEASE ENSURE YOU CHECK THE MACHINE IS COMPLETELY EMPTY (best to spin a few times as socks stick to the roof!)

16kg Front Loader Washers (Dexter)

1. Open the door by releasing the lock handle to the right
2. Ensure the machine is empty inside (good to spin a couple of times)
3. Load washing into tub and fill up to fist height from the top without squeezing in. Washing needs room to move!
4. Close door ensuring no items are stuck in the rubber seal and lock handle to the left/down position
5. Select Washing Temperate: HOT, WARM or COLD
6. Add Detergent into large opening of the fill tub above the machine
7. Add Fabric softener into the small opening of the same fill tub (optional)
8. The machine is now ready to insert coins ($1 & $2 coins only). Once all coins are inserted, press the START button to begin the cycle.
9. If there is a problem or leak from the machine, hold the EMERGENCY STOP button for 4 seconds, this will halt the program to correct any issue i.e. a piece of clothing stuck in the door.  Close the and lock the door and press the START button again to restart the cycle.
10. Wash is approximately 26min which is displayed on the timer
11. When complete a buzzing sound can be heard at which point the handle can be opened to remove clothing.
12. PLEASE ENSURE YOU CHECK THE MACHINE IS COMPLETELY EMPTY (best to spin a few times as socks stick to the roof!)
13. If you have any problems please call the emergency/hazard number displayed in the laundry

6.5kg Top loader washer (Speed Queen)

1. Open Lid and ensure machine is empty & clean
2. Add detergent before washing is put into the tub (liquid or power)
3. Select Washing Temperate/Cycle (see diagram)
4. Put washing into tub. Ensure not to fill above ¾ of the tub height, washing needs room to move!
5. Close Machine Lid (lid must be closed in order to begin cycle).
6. The machine is now ready to insert coins ($1 coins only x 4) into coin slider. Push slider in to start.
7. When complete, ensure machine is completely empty

Change Machine

• Change machine is provided for the use of MBL customers. 
• Machine accepts $5, $10 & $20 only and will dispense for the equivalent $1 Coins.
• All notes much be Carefully inserted and free of bends/folds in order to be accepted by the note reader.
• Machine will also accept $2 coin in top slot and break for 2 x $1 Coins
• The change machine will not accept any other coin denomination other than $2 into the top slot.
• Should you require notes the laundry has an ATM out the front of the store that can provide $20 notes
